About us

Our life was anything but boring.

We had a fun and busy social life. We lived in a beautiful house with a big garden, in a nice and cozy village which was located six kilometres from the city Leeuwarden.

Nevertheless we decided in January 2009 to leave the Netherlands and go to beautiful France to follow our dream of owning a small-scale apartment complex. With our two small daughters, both of whom have since grown into two beautiful young women, we left for La Creuse.

Since then we have been busy with renovating our big barn (35 x 12m with a height of 14m) which dates from the year 1829 and which was used by a farmer before. Meanwhile the barn has been renovated into a home and 3 beautiful gites. 

We both work as independent entrepreneurs. Jamie in renovation, Anuska in home care as a nurse. Amber studies at university in Bordeaux and Leann studies at university in Limoges. We are fully integrated and have a nice social life with our Dutch, English and French friends.

With a lot of love we rent our beautiful gites all year round and are proud to have created a regular clientele base with some guests coming back for the sixth time. Both our gites have received a 4-star rating from Tourisme Creuse in October 2019.
